This is an Art exhibition celebrating the creative expressions of women in all its amazingly different ways. It gives an outlet to share their stories with you for this week of celebrating women when words can not express it.

Dr. Arezou Zalipour will speak about the ways New Zealand women filmmakers from various ethnic backgrounds have brought a new texture to New Zealand screen, and how we can support diverse voices to reflect our world. There will also be a Q/A session after all the screenings.

For those wanting to attend the free live streaming event being held at Parliament on the 8th March, please contact Noeline Holt or Sue Kedgley.
 

The event is being hosted by the Minister for Women, the Honourable Julie-Anne Genter.  

Keynote speakers will be the Governor General, the Right Honourable Her Excellency Dame Patsy Reddy, and the Right Honourable Helen Clark, formerly Administrator of the United Nations Fund for Development and Prime Minister of New Zealand, in a conversation with Dr Gill Greer, Chief Executive of the National Council for Women.
Live streaming will commence from 7-9am New Zealand time.  It will be an opportunity for women’s groups and schools around New Zealand and in the Pacific to participate in the event, wherever they may be.

Building on the success of IWD 2017, we bring you IWD 2018.

International Women’s Day 2018 will offer women in Kirikiriroa Hamilton the opportunity to showcase, align and promote gender-focused activities, ideas and actions. It is the perfect day to offer Hamilton City insights into our various successes, whilst highlighting our hopes and dreams for the future.
